Overview

The Sony VAIO VPCEB are a series of mid-range notebooks released by Sony between February 2010 and January 2011.

Medium range of the VPCE series, they have a 15,5" display with a 1366x768 or 1920x1080 resolution.

Sony made many variations of this notebook, ranging from Intel Pentium to i5, with different graphic cards.

Made mostly of plastic and available in white or black, their strengths are the 1st Gen Intel Core i3 or i5 processor, their ATI GPU (only available in certain models), their multi-touch touchpad, and built-in Dolby Home Theater v3 audio.

Daily Usage Today

This device (with the i3 or i5) is still usable for basic tasks like web browsing and text editing today. It can also run non-resource-intensive games or cloud gaming.

On the other hand, the models with the Intel Pentium may suffer of lags and stuttering, that is why the use of this PC is only recommended for web browsing or text editing, or other very basic tasks.

We recommend upgrading the RAM to 8 GB and to switch the mechanical hard drive to an SSD.

This device will fully work on Windows 11 with proper drivers, but it may experience lags and low stability if equipped with Intel Pentium.
